THAT'S A WRAP

SPORtS HEART SUMMIT

replay access ends  6th september 2025

The “must-attend” event for anyone
involved in exercise cardiology!

Welcome to the 3rd Sports Heart Summit
Increasingly we are recognising the complexity of the athletes' heart and the effects on cardiac physiology with exercise. The nuances of this patient group and unique challenges they present have resulted in the emergence of the sports cardiologist role, as well as a more integrated role of the exercise physiologist.

Sports Cardiology not only recognizes the effects of exercise on the athlete's heart, but also acknowledges sport as a recreation, and exercise as a therapy. The sessions dedicated to sports cardiology at international cardiac meetings are always well attended, but rarely have enough allocated time to delve into the topic as thoroughly as needed. Now is the time to rethink how we approach continuing education within this sub-specialty.

This unique event is aimed at cardiologists, exercise physiologists, physicians and researchers with an interest in sports cardiology.

Care has been taken to incorporate guidelines into talks to demonstrate how and why they should be applied in your daily practice. Attendees will have access to a chat room to facilitate discussion between the delegates, and in some instances with the live speakers.

Not just the Summit…

Conference events are great. We learn, get excited, but then often go back to our clinical practice where the enthusiasm slowly dwindles….

Keep the momentum going, continue the discussion as part of the  Exercise Cardiology community.

Message from Tony Forshaw

B.ExSci, Mast Cardiac ultrasound, AMS (cardiac), FASE - 2024 summit convenor

The 3rd Sports Heart Summit is proudly presented by Echo.Guru. This innovative conference format allows educational events in targeted topic areas to be delivered both conveniently and at a much lower cost to delegates. There are no travel expenses or costly accommodation bookings, and the online format allows for minimal time away from our daily work. Content is available for replay for a limited time after the event, with participation during the event encouraged through an online chat feature. This approach to CME events has been hugely popular at recent Echo Guru events (even before Covid-19) and I am delighted to bring this event to the sports cardiology community once again.

I am originally a sports scientist, and have maintained this interest and passion throughout my career as a cardiac sonographer and university educator.

It is with great pleasure that I am convening this summit and I welcome all cardiologists, sports physicians, exercise physiologists, and anyone with an interest in the field of sports cardiology to join me for the discussion and be part of this unique event.
